About the Role
We're looking for an experienced HR Employee Relations Specialist to manage and resolve employee relations matters throughout the employee lifecycle. You'll handle workplace concerns, grievances, investigations, disciplinary cases, and employment-related issues while providing guidance to employees and leaders and helping maintain a fair, respectful, and accountable workplace.
Ideal Candidate (Must Have Requirements)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources, or a similar role
- Experience within a BPO, KPO, Virtual Assistant, Shared Services, or high-volume employment environment is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred
- Hands-on experience handling employee complaints, grievances, attendance and conduct concerns, workplace conflicts, performance matters, and disciplinary cases
- Experience conducting or supporting workplace investigations, including gathering information, evaluating evidence, documenting findings, and preparing reports
- Working knowledge of Philippine labour laws, DOLE regulations, and employment standards
- Familiarity with disciplinary procedures and due process, including Notices to Explain (NTEs), administrative hearing documentation, and Notices of Decision
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgement
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
- Excellent organisational and case management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Amenable to work at our Cebu site: IT Park, Cebu City.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations cases throughout the employee lifecycle
- Handle employee complaints, grievances, attendance concerns, conduct issues, workplace conflicts, and disciplinary matters
- Conduct and support workplace investigations by gathering and evaluating relevant information
- Prepare investigation reports, findings, recommendations, and ER-related documentation
- Guide employees and leaders on ER policies, procedures, and appropriate courses of action
- Prepare Notices to Explain, administrative hearing documentation, Notices of Decision, and other disciplinary correspondence
- Ensure employee relations processes are handled fairly, consistently, confidentially, and in accordance with company policies
- Apply Philippine labour laws, DOLE regulations, and employment standards when handling employee relations matters
- Identify potential employee relations risks and recommend appropriate actions
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records and documentation
- Monitor case progress, follow-ups, deadlines, and required actions
- Partner with leaders and internal stakeholders to resolve workplace concerns effectively
- Support the implementation and improvement of ER policies, processes, and practices
- Promote a respectful, accountable, and positive workplace culture

Most of our clients are in Australia, so most roles follow a PH time day shift work schedule.
Most clients follow standard business days (Monday to Friday), so VAP follows a weekend rest day schedule.
You’ll follow your client’s AU public holidays. This means you’ll work on PH holidays but with PH holiday premium pay.
Holiday Break: We offer a 2-week paid holiday break from Christmas to New Year. If your client requests you to work during this time and you agree, you’ll receive Rest Day overtime pay.
Yes, we provide both vacation and sick leave. Vacation leave is not convertible to cash, as we encourage work-life balance and want our staff to enjoy their time off. Unused vacation leave carries over to the next year.
