About the Role
The Engagement Officer (Chief Happiness Officer) is responsible for the overall happiness and retention of all employees, therefore being able to come up with activities to keep employees engaged, committed, happy and motivated all the time.
Ideal Candidate (Must-Have Requirements)
- Solid experience in employee engagement, company events, culture, or a similar role
- Exposure to the Virtual Assistant, BPO, or outsourcing industry is mandatory
- Experience organising company-wide events, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives
- Experience handling B2B engagements is an advantage
- Strong event planning, coordination, and facilitation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative, proactive, approachable, and highly organised
- Able to manage multiple activities and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Passionate about improving employee engagement, motivation, and retention
- Cebu-based and amenable to working onsite
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and host company-wide engagement activities and events
- Develop and manage employee recognition and rewards programs
- Lead inter-department games, competitions, and engagement initiatives
- Recommend and implement ideas to improve employee retention and workplace culture
- Facilitate daily gratitude or wellness sessions for employees
- Coordinate engagement calendars, communications, and event logistics
- Gather employee feedback and recommend culture improvement initiatives
- Support HR and leadership in promoting a positive and engaging work environment

No, as a stable internet connection is a non-negotiable requirement. However, we offer a competitive salary package above market rate, and our offices remain open for staff experiencing internet or electricity issues.
Yes, we provide HMO coverage.
Most of our clients are in Australia, so most roles follow a PH time day shift work schedule.
Most clients follow standard business days (Monday to Friday), so VAP follows a weekend rest day schedule.
You’ll follow your client’s AU public holidays. This means you’ll work on PH holidays but with PH holiday premium pay.
Holiday Break: We offer a 2-week paid holiday break from Christmas to New Year. If your client requests you to work during this time and you agree, you’ll receive Rest Day overtime pay.
Yes, we provide both vacation and sick leave. Vacation leave is not convertible to cash, as we encourage work-life balance and want our staff to enjoy their time off. Unused vacation leave carries over to the next year.
We offer sign-on bonuses occasionally, depending on the role. Yes, these are taxable.
