Australian SMSF Accountant

About the Role

As an SMSF Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of our clients' Self-Managed Super Fund operations. From preparing financial statements to ensuring compliance with Australian regulations, you’ll use your expertise in BGL 360 and/or Class Super to deliver accurate and reliable results.

Ideal Candidate (must have requirements)

  • Several years of hands-on experience in Australian Accounting with a strong focus on tax preparation and SMSF
  • Proficiency in Xero and/or MYOB
  • Practical experience using BGL 360 and/or Class Super
  • Extensive experience preparing Individual, Company, Trust, and SMSF Tax Returns
  • Strong background in Superannuation and Self Managed Super Funds
  • Solid understanding of the end-to-end Australian accounting cycle
  • With a conducive workspace to work from home

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Prepare SMSF financial statements and tax returns for multiple entities
  • Manage and accurately lodge BAS and IAS
  • Reconcile GST and PAYG to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Complete work papers in accordance with SIS Acts and Australian regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in BGL 360 and or Class Super
  • Coordinate with Australian auditors and regulatory bodies to support timely and smooth lodgments.
