AU Senior Mortgage Broker Support Officer

About the role

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Mortgage Broker Support Officer to work closely with the broker and provide end-to-end loan processing and credit support. The role involves active participation in structuring and packaging loan applications, including conducting research, managing servicing and compliance requirements, and tracking progress across various types of lending.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn directly from a broker with over 20 years of industry experience and be part of an award-winning, values-driven business. This role offers the stability of joining a long-term, close-knit team rather than a large processing pool. As the VA team expands, you’ll have the chance to grow into a leadership position, where your contributions will be trusted, supported, and genuinely valued.

Ideal Candidate (Must Have Requirements)

  • 3 - 5+ years’ experience in mortgage broking support or lending
  • Strong knowledge across residential, commercial, and SMSF lending
  • Ability to manage at least four complete loan applications per week
  • Familiar with ApplyOnline, Quickli, Finsure Infinity, Pipedrive
  • Excellent organisation, accuracy, and ability to work autonomously
  • Confident in NCCP compliance and documentation standards
  • Professional communication and fluent written English
  • Stable internet, suitable home office, and strong commitment to the role

Task and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and structure residential, commercial, and SMSF loan applications
  • Conduct borrowing capacity and servicing assessments
  • Research lender policies and manage pre-assessments and pricing requests
  • Submit applications via ApplyOnline, Quickli, and Finsure Infinity
  • Track file progress, follow up with lenders, and coordinate settlement
  • Maintain accurate CRM records in Pipedrive
  • Ensure full compliance with NCCP and responsible lending regulations
  • Join client meetings (via Zoom) to take internal notes and flag follow-up items
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows and processes
  • Support onboarding and oversight of junior admin staff as the team grows
