Head of Recruitment

About the Role

The Head of Recruitment will lead the strategic direction, execution, and continuous improvement of VA Platinum’s recruitment function across the Philippines while supporting niche hiring in the Australian finance market. This role is responsible for building high-performing sourcing and recruitment teams, optimising hiring funnels, and strengthening the company’s employer brand visibility across key talent markets. Our hiring process integrates AU clients in the decision-making process, which is a key consideration.

Ideal Candidate (Must Have Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12–15 years total HR/recruitment experience
  • With at least 6–8 years in a leadership role overseeing end-to-end recruitment
  • Proven success in BPO or VA environments, ideally with AU or US market exposure.
  • Strong command of sourcing tools, ATS platforms (e.g., Airtable), and recruitment analytics.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and team development skills.
  • Experience managing vendor contracts, recruitment budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Amenable working onsite either in our Cebu/Davao Site (IT Park, Cebu/ Robinson Cybergate Delta, Davao)

Tasks and Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute a scalable recruitment strategy aligned with business growth and workforce planning.
  • Lead and mentor a team of recruiters and sourcing specialists across Cebu and Davao.
  • Partner with executive leadership to forecast hiring needs and build proactive pipelines.

Sourcing & Recruitment Excellence

  • Oversee sourcing strategies for high-volume, niche, and specialised roles across PH and AU markets.
  • Optimise sourcing channels, tools, and vendor partnerships to maximise ROI and reduce time-to-fill.
  • Ensure recruitment processes are efficient while maintaining a strong candidate and AU client focus.

Data & Performance Management

  • Own recruitment dashboards, funnel metrics, and time-to-fill reporting.
  • Use data insights to drive continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
  • Track and report on hiring velocity, quality of hire, and recruiter productivity.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with sourcing vendors, service providers, and assessment platforms.
  • Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance against KPIs.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align hiring priorities and timelines.

Employer Branding & Market Visibility

  • Partner with Marketing to design and execute employer branding campaigns.
  • Represent VA Platinum at recruitment events, job fairs, and industry forums.
  • Build long-term relationships with schools, training institutions, and professional networks.
