Senior Financial Planning Analyst (Budgeting and Forecasting)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Senior Financial Planning Analyst (Budgeting and Forecasting) to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with the Financial Controller (FC) and the Finance team. You will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and preparing analytical reports that support strategic decision-making. The role combines hands-on accounting, financial reporting, and compliance work with analytical responsibilities.

Ideal Candidate (Must Have Requirements)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA qualification is an advantage but not required).
• 5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance within a corporate or shared services environment.
• Hands-on experience with invoicing, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
• Knowledge of audit preparation and financial statement accuracy review.
• Experience assisting in policy updates and audit coordination.
• Experience with Xero accounting software preferred.
• Advanced Excel or Power BI skills are an advantage but not required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Amenable to work onsite either in our Cebu or Davao Sites (IT Park, Cebu/ Robinsons Cybergate Delta, Davao)

Task and Responsibilities

• Analyse financial data to identify performance trends, variances, and key metrics that impact business outcomes.
• Prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support decision-making and management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, audit requirements, and financial reporting standards.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to support invoicing accuracy, revenue recognition, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and financial reviews.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Utilise Xero accounting software for transaction processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Perform variance analysis, cost review, and other financial analyses as required by the Financial Controller.
• Review, implement, and update accounting policies and internal controls in coordination with the Financial Controller.
• Perform other finance-related tasks aligned with the role’s scope and capacity.
