About the Role
As a Learning and Development Officer, you will design and deliver impactful training programs, collaborate with leaders to identify skills gaps and foster a culture of continuous learning. Using tools like Moodle, Canva, and Excel, you’ll empower professionals and shape organisational success through innovative training needs analysis and solutions.
Ideal Candidate (Must Have Requirements)
- 2-4 years in Learning and Development in a BPO or outsourcing environment is required.
- Experience as HRBP, Learning and Development and related HR facets is preferred.
- At least C1 EN level proficiency
- Exposure to Moodle or similar training and development platforms.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in using data and trends to craft actionable training solutions.
- Certification in training and development (e.g., CPLP, Train-the-Trainer) is a definite plus!
- Amenable to work onsite in IT Park, Cebu City
- Be ready to provide a portfolio of past projects as part of the recruitment process.
- Shortlisted candidates will also participate in a fun, 30-minute demo to showcase their skills and creativity.
Tasks and Responsibilities

- Lead and facilitate training modules and internal certification programs
- Create fun, dynamic training programs using platforms like Moodle and other tools.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to craft learning strategies that align with organisational goals.
- Foster a culture of learning through interactive workshops, technical training, and leadership development programs.
- Perform training data analysis arising from interviews, focus groups, and training needs analysis to assess employee proficiency for potential or future open positions.
- Leverage innovative training tools and technologies to keep learning exciting and relevant.

Yes, we provide HMO coverage.
Most of our clients are in Australia, so most roles follow a PH time day shift work schedule.
Most clients follow standard business days (Monday to Friday), so VAP follows a weekend rest day schedule.
You’ll follow your client’s AU public holidays. This means you’ll work on PH holidays but with PH holiday premium pay.
Holiday Break: We offer a 2-week paid holiday break from Christmas to New Year. If your client requests you to work during this time and you agree, you’ll receive Rest Day overtime pay.
Yes, we provide both vacation and sick leave. Vacation leave is not convertible to cash, as we encourage work-life balance and want our staff to enjoy their time off. Unused vacation leave carries over to the next year.
We offer sign-on bonuses occasionally, depending on the role. Yes, these are taxable.
