About the Role
We are seeking a talented Senior Front-End Developer to design, develop, and maintain modern, responsive, high-performance web applications. This role requires strong expertise in React and TypeScript, a passion for exceptional user experiences, and experience working in agile, collaborative environments.
Ideal Candidate (Must Have Requirements)
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, including team collaboration with product ownership exposure.
- Expert-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and GitHub.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON data handling, and cloud storage services (Amazon S3).
- Amenable to work on-site in our Cebu office (IT Park, Cebu City)
Nice-to-Haves
- Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails (for integration purposes).
- Basic understanding of PostgreSQL for front-end integration.
- Familiarity with AWS services beyond S3.
- Experience with TinyMCE 7.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Implement UI/UX designs with precision, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
- Integrate front-end components with back-end services via RESTful APIs.
- Manage and optimise asset storage and delivery using Amazon S3.
- Collaborate closely with designers, back-end developers, and product managers to deliver high-quality features.
- Maintain version control with GitHub, ensuring clean, well-documented commits.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance tuning of front-end code.
- Stay current with emerging front-end technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

Most of our clients are in Australia, so most roles follow a PH time day shift work schedule.
Most clients follow standard business days (Monday to Friday), so VAP follows a weekend rest day schedule.
You’ll follow your client’s AU public holidays. This means you’ll work on PH holidays but with PH holiday premium pay.
Holiday Break: We offer a 2-week paid holiday break from Christmas to New Year. If your client requests you to work during this time and you agree, you’ll receive Rest Day overtime pay.
Yes, we provide both vacation and sick leave. Vacation leave is not convertible to cash, as we encourage work-life balance and want our staff to enjoy their time off. Unused vacation leave carries over to the next year.
We offer sign-on bonuses occasionally, depending on the role. Yes, these are taxable.
