Finance Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to oversee finance operations, accounting processes, reporting, invoicing, and financial controls. This role will ensure accurate financial records, improve finance workflows, provide business insights, and support management decision-making through effective financial analysis.

The ideal candidate is a finance professional with strong accounting knowledge, experience managing financial operations, and the ability to lead improvements across systems, processes, and reporting.

Ideal Candidate (Must-Have Requirements)

  • Solid experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations
  • Experience managing accounting processes, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in accounting systems such as Xero, SAP, or similar platforms
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse financial data
  • Experience reviewing financial reports and providing business recommendations
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to manage confidential financial information professionally
  • Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
  • Experience leading, coaching, or supporting finance team members
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal stakeholders

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage finance operations, including accounting activities, financial records, and reporting
  • Oversee invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense processing
  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports, analysis, and business insights
  • Manage and optimise accounting systems such as Xero
  • Review payroll-related financial information and ensure accuracy
  • Support financial forecasting, budgeting, and business activity reporting
  • Develop and improve finance processes, policies, and internal controls
  • Identify financial risks and recommend solutions to improve efficiency
  • Provide guidance and support to finance team members
  • Collaborate with leadership on cost management and process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with financial requirements and company standards
  • Support finance-related operational concerns across departments
