Australian Payroll Specialist - Xero

About the Role

As an Australian Payroll Specialist (AU Accounting Specialist), you will manage end-to-end payroll processing for Australian employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payment. You will work closely with HR and Finance to maintain payroll records in Xero and support smooth onboarding from a payroll perspective.

Ideal Candidate (Must-Have Requirements)

  • Experience in Australian payroll processing
  • Strong hands-on experience using Xero Payroll
  • Experience managing employee onboarding from a payroll perspective
  • Good understanding of Australian payroll laws, tax, and superannuation
  • High attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information responsibly
  • Experience in accounting or finance support roles is an advantage
  • Amenable to work in the Cebu office (IT Park, Cebu City)

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end Australian payroll using Xero
  • Ensure compliance with PAYG, superannuation, and leave entitlements
  • Manage payroll onboarding setup for new employees
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records
  • Process timesheets, allowances, overtime, and deductions
  • Reconcile payroll and support month-end reporting
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to the relevant agencies
  • Respond to employee payroll queries
  • Support audits and ensure payroll data integrity
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance for payroll operations
