About the Role
We are looking for an Australian Accountant to support our client's onshore team with tax returns, BAS preparation, and accounting tasks for B, C, and D-grade clients. This role focuses on accurate execution, process compliance, and dependable accounting support.
Ideal Candidate (Must-Have Requirements)
- Experience in Australian tax and accounting
- Strong knowledge of AU tax compliance and BAS preparation
- Proficiency in MYOB
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience handling individual and small business tax returns
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow documented accounting processes independently
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Preferably with exposure to B, C, and D-grade accounting files
- Comfortable working with historical working papers and source documents
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Prepare individual and business tax returns
- Prepare and lodge BAS accurately and on time
- Follow established accounting processes and working paper templates
- Review prior year files and supporting documents for reference
- Prepare Excel schedules and supporting documents
- Maintain accurate records within MYOB and related systems
- Support the onshore team with accounting and admin tasks
- Ensure all work is accurate, complete, and compliant

Most of our clients are in Australia, so most roles follow a PH time day shift work schedule.
Most clients follow standard business days (Monday to Friday), so VAP follows a weekend rest day schedule.
You’ll follow your client’s AU public holidays. This means you’ll work on PH holidays but with PH holiday premium pay.
Holiday Break: We offer a 2-week paid holiday break from Christmas to New Year. If your client requests you to work during this time and you agree, you’ll receive Rest Day overtime pay.
Yes, we provide both vacation and sick leave. Vacation leave is not convertible to cash, as we encourage work-life balance and want our staff to enjoy their time off. Unused vacation leave carries over to the next year.
We offer sign-on bonuses occasionally, depending on the role. Yes, these are taxable.
