About the Role
The Human Resource Generalist (Employee Relations) will be responsible for managing and resolving employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with Philippine labour laws, and representing the company in proceedings with the Department of Labour and Employment (DOLE), National Labour Relations Commission (NLRC), and other judicial bodies.
Ideal Candidate (Must Have Requirements)
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Political Science, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in employee relations, preferably in the BPO setup or a company with a high volume of cases/grievances.
- Strong understanding of Philippine labour laws and experience handling administrative and labour issues.
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Willingness to work on-site and extend working hours when necessary
- Amenable to work in our Cebu site: IT Park, Cebu City.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Handle the end-to-end process of administrative disciplinary actions, including investigations, documentation, and resolution.
- Attend and represent the company in hearings and conferences at DOLE, NLRC, and other judicial courts.
- Monitor and ensure timely responses to employee concerns and grievances.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to obtain advice on complex cases and ensure compliance with labour laws.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and administrative cases.
- Assist in the development and implementation of employee relations policies and procedures.
- Following through on needful offboarding processes and procedures

Most of our clients are in Australia, so most roles follow a PH time day shift work schedule.
Most clients follow standard business days (Monday to Friday), so VAP follows a weekend rest day schedule.
You’ll follow your client’s AU public holidays. This means you’ll work on PH holidays but with PH holiday premium pay.
Holiday Break: We offer a 2-week paid holiday break from Christmas to New Year. If your client requests you to work during this time and you agree, you’ll receive Rest Day overtime pay.
Yes, we provide both vacation and sick leave. Vacation leave is not convertible to cash, as we encourage work-life balance and want our staff to enjoy their time off. Unused vacation leave carries over to the next year.
We offer sign-on bonuses occasionally, depending on the role. Yes, these are taxable.
